- Department association reinstallation
Date: January 21,2025
Department association meeting was conducted in the accordance to reinstallation of departmental association activities in the presence of HoD, faculties, lab staff and students. An active discussion held between the faculties and students. Mr. Jakie Sheraf, department association faculty in charge shared the importance of association activities in molding students in becoming a good engineer. As a part of the meeting, student representatives from each semester were elected and a department technical team was also constituted.
- SolidWorks Modelling Workshop
Date: January 13-15,2025
A SolidWorks modelling workshop was arranged for 11 students of 6th semester of the Mechanical department in association with Arcite School of Technical Education. The workshop equipped participants with 3D design skills, from basic to advanced techniques. Outcomes include improved design visualization, enhanced communication, increased productivity, and career advancement potential. Participants gain practical experience, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in their designs.
- Internship at Kerala Metals and Minerals Limited, Chavara, Kollam
Date: January 13-15,2025 January 17, 18 & 20, 2025
12 students of fourth semester of the Mechanical department attended a 3-day internship at KMML. Student attended the internship in two batches (Batch 1: 7 students, Batch 2: 5 students). The internship provided valuable insights into the operations of a leading company in the minerals and metals sector. As a part of the internship program, students gained hands-on experience in various departments, understanding the production processes, quality control, and the importance of safety measures within the industry
- Webinar for mechanical engineers from “Virtual Labs”.

The department of Mechanical Engineering conducted the webinar which is exclusively for both mechanical and civil engineering students. The webinar was under the handled by “Virtual Labs” ( An MoE govt. of India initiative) as part of Bharathpadhe online scheme. The program commenced at 11;00 AM in our college. Respected Principal, HOD, staff and students of the department were attended the webinar. Demonstration of basic electronics lab and modern physics lab was the main attraction of the session
- Webinar on ‘Graphene the wonder material

The department association of Mechanical Engineering, AMET conducted the webinar on the topic Graphene the wonder material, which commenced at 5:00 PM in the online mode was handled by, Mr. Wazeem Nishad, PhD Scholar IIT Madras. Respective Principal, HOD, staff and all semester students of the department were attended the webinar.

- Webinar on ‘Engineers Competency for a Global Career

Mechanical Engineering department, TKMIT conducted a webinar on Engineers Competency for a Global Career in association with TRACEZ Global. The webinar was commenced at 7:00 PM in the online mode and was attended by many students. The session helps the students to aware about the job availabilities in India and Global market, to prepare for the interviews and acquiring soft skills essential for Mechanical Engineers.
- AMET 2021 Inauguration

The department association AMET 2021 was inaugurated on December 30, 2020 at 3:00pm. The chief guest for the inauguration was Er. Venugopal S, Joint General Manger, HILL Life Care Limited. He delivers a talk on the topic ‘Role of Mechanical Engineers in Industry’. Respective Principal, HOD, staff and all semester students of the department were present.
- Webinar on ‘ Biomedical and Robotics technology

Conducted by department of mechanical and Biomedical engineering,TKMIT. The webinar, which commenced at 9:30 AM in the online mode was handled by, Dr. Branesh Madhavan Pillai, Faculty and foreign expert, Mahidol university, Thailand. The webinar was attended by S5 and S7 students of ME and BME Department.
- Webinar on ‘ Automotive competitions in India

Conducted by Mechanical engineering department, TKMIT in association with D-Sim. The webinar, which commenced at 10.00 AM in the online mode was attended by many students and faculties of the department. The webinar which turned out to be a fruitful one explained on the way of preperations and procedures to participate in various national level automotive competitions conducted by different professional engineering societies.
