The Mechanical Engineering Department was established in 2011 with an intake of 60 students for undergraduate programme. There has been more than just one department added to the academic stream. With the joint efforts of the dedicated staff and an energetic group of students, the department quickly demonstrated its competence. To further enhance its appeal, the department has a complete laboratory space that gives students access to the most recent developments in ME. To provide education with the highest levels of quality, the department has been steadily expanding its developmental activities. The departments Association of Mechanical Engineers TKMIT (AMET) provides a forum for collaborative learning between academic staff, industry leaders, and the students. The organisation hosts a variety of seminars, workshops, paper presentations, and guest lectures. In keeping with the philosophy, the department is dedicated to creating mechanical engineers that is socially conscious.
