• Automatic Weather Station Installation 

Ms. Aeshlyn Jose, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering got appreciated by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) for her efforts in installing an automatic weather station in the campus of TKM Institute of Technology, Karuvelil as part of the B. Tech project carried out under her supervision.

•   Financial Assistance to Student Projects

The B. Tech project titled “Installation, Estimation and Comparative Analysis of Rain Gauges at TKMIT Campus” under the supervision of Ms. Aeshlyn Jose has been granted a financial assistance of Rs. 17,853 by the Engineering Research Council of APJAKTU.

• University trained BIM Expert

Ms. Athira G, Assistant Professor in the department of Civil Engineering was selected for the KTU sponsored training programme on Building Information Modeling (BIM) held at Indian Institute of Infrastructure and Construction (IIIC), Chavara. The faculty trained the students in the BIM technology. This is considered as an independent skill development programme initiated by the college for its students

• APPRECIATION & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR B. TECH PROJECT

The B. Tech project titled “Installation, Estimation and Comparative Analysis of Rain Gauges at TKMIT Campus” done by Amritha Santhosh, Gouri S, Harikrishna R. and Sruthi under the supervision of Ms. Aeshlyn Jose has been granted a financial assistance of Rs. 17,853 by the Engineering Research Council of APJAKTU. Due to the relentless effort of the faculty and the students, an automatic weather station was installed in the campus of TKMIT. The India Meteorological Department has appreciated the efforts of the students in establishing the weather station.

•  WINNER OF CPrize (NACTET SCHOLARSHIP)

Safa Sharafudeen of 2020-2024 Batch Civil Engineering won the competitive exam CPrize, a merit scholarship examination initiated by National Council for Technology and Training (NACTET), New Delhi.

• CAMPUS AMBASSADOR AT ARCITE

Swathy B. Nair of 2020-2024 Batch Civil Engineering is selected as the campus ambassador at ARCITE Educational Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
