Association of Cyber Experts
The Computer Association, known as ACE (Association of Cyber Experts) of the department provides a high level of interaction between students and faculties. The association kick started its activities from 2006 onward by a technical fest –Memphis ’06. Association has released a fortnightly magazine ‘Smart Talk’ which concentrates on the latest development in the computer world. The association conducts various seminars, workshops, paper presentations and guest talks.
ACE organized an awareness Programme on Python Programming for Faculty, Organized by the department of Computer Science and Engineering on 1st and 3rd January 2020 at TKM Institute of Technology. Ms. Shemimol B, Ms. Soorya P, Ms. Anisha SS, Ms. Neetha Alex of TKMIT conducted the sessions.
ACE organized a seminar on MACHINE LEARNING AND ITS APPLICATIONS on 8/11/19. The programme was conducted to give awareness of the applications of Machine Learning, an emerging technology in this technological era, to the students of Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Mr. Nithin Gopinath and Mr. Adarsh James, Data Analyst, from E&Y, conducted the sessions.
One day workshop on UNITY 3D. The session was conducted by Mr.Sreejith D.S, Graphic Designer, Mindtween Infor Tech Pvt Ltd. There were four sessions.The first was introduction to UNITY-3D.The second was designing using UNITY-3D.The third was getting the model ready for working and the last session was working and discussion on various application on UNITY-3D.
The association has actively participated in the college level symposium UNIFIESTA-15 on 23rd and 24th of February, 2015. At the time, ACE has conducted a workshop on 3D-Printing. The session was handled by Mr.Jerry Althaf, IEEE member discussed on various application on 3D-Printing.
Vortex-14 is being organized with an objective to provide hands on training to students on Android technologies, and to give experience on conducting technical programmes like web designing, debugging and paper presentation on 31/01/2014 at TKMIT meeting was inaugurated by Mr Binu Sankar, Asst. Director, EY technologies, Technopark. Dr. Senthil Kumar, Amritha College of Engineering, Coimbatore conducted the two day workshop on Android technologies and it was great benefit to our students.
As a part of decennial celebration the department of computer science and engineering organized a National Conference on Advanced Techniques in Computer Science –NATCOM’13 on 13th March 2013. Mr. Satish Babu, Director, International Centre for Free and Open Source Software and President CSI, was the chief guest for the inaugural function. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the aspects and scope of Open Source Software. The sessions witnessed paper presentation by the delegates and followed by interaction and knowledge sharing. The technical experts have nominated one best paper in each session for which award was given.
