The Counselling Cell at TKM Institute of Technology is dedicated to fostering the holistic development of our students. Under the guidance of a qualified psychologist, we provide a supportive environment where students can address a wide range of challenges and concerns:

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual counselling sessions: Provide psychological support and guidance to students.
  • Identify and support students with learning disabilities: Offer academic interventions and support services.
  • Promote mental health awareness: Develop and implement mental health programs and initiatives.
  • Enhance counselling competencies: Facilitate training and development for faculty on counselling skills.
  • Provide support services for students with disabilities: Offer specialized assistance to meet the unique needs of students.

Confidentiality Policy

The Counselling Cell upholds the strictest confidentiality regarding all information shared by students during counselling sessions. All communications and records are treated with utmost discretion, except in cases where there is an imminent threat of harm to oneself or others, or where required by law. Information shared with the Counselling Cell will be used solely for the purpose of providing appropriate support and guidance, and will not be disclosed to any third party without explicit consent, unless legally mandated.

Accessing Counselling Services

  • Self-Referral: Students can directly approach the Counselling Cell during designated hours or schedule an appointment.
  • Referral System: Faculty advisors, parents, or peers can also refer students to the Counselling Cell .
  • Outreach Initiatives: The Counselling Cell actively engages students through workshops and information sessions to promote awareness of available support services and facilitate.
