Apart from academics to improve the technical skills as well as the talents of the students, the student’s association plays an important role. Our association is very active in organizing invited talks, industrial interactions, cultural and technical events in the college, soft skill development programs, various workshops in different specializations etc. Association Civil Engineers TKMIT (ACT). It was started during the academic year 2019-20 with 167 student members.

The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is a statutory body to promote and advance the engineering and technology. It is the largest multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers encompassing in India. The department of Civil Engineering started a student chapter during the academic year 2019-20 with 81 student members
IEI- Computer Science and Engineering Chapter
The Institution of Engineers (India), the IEI, is a national organization for engineers in India. It is the world’s largest multi-disciplinary engineering professional society. The institution was established in 1920 in Kolkata, West Bengal, and was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1935. The department of Computer Science and Engineering started a student chapter in December 2023.

ACM is a global scientific and educational organization dedicated to advancing the art,science, engineering, and application of computing, serving both professional and public interests by fostering the open exchange of information and by promoting the highest professional and ethical standards. The department of Computer Science and Engineering started a student chapter in May 2022.
The Computer Society of India (CSI) is the leading professional organization for IT professionals in India, established in 1965. With over 100,000 members across various chapters, CSI plays a pivotal role in promoting the growth of the IT industry in India. Its members include software developers, IT managers, researchers, students, and educators, making it a diverse and inclusive community.
CSI focuses on knowledge sharing, networking, and professional development through conferences, seminars, workshops, and publications. It also engages in research and development activities and has a strong focus on student engagement, providing them with opportunities to connect with industry experts, participate in competitions, and gain exposure to the latest trends and technologies. The institute has started its CSI Students Chapter on March 6, 2024.
The department association AMET 2021 was inaugurated on December 30, 2020 at 3:00pm. The chief guest for the inauguration was Er. Venugopal S, Joint General Manger, HILL Life Care Limited. He delivers a talk on the topic ‘Role of Mechanical Engineers in Industry’. Respective Principal, HOD, staff and all semester students of the department were present.
AFST(I) is established in 1937 has made a name for itself in the list of top services providers in India. AFST(I) is one of the largest professional and educational organizations with around 3500 members- food scientists and technologists across the globe. The major objective of AFST(I) is to stimulate advanced knowledge, based on various aspects of Food Science and Technology by organizing national and international conferences and bringing out technical publications including prestigious journal JFST and Indian Food Industry magazine (IFIMag).
AFST(I) membership is open to all food professionals engaged in academic-industrial and other related activities. There are 38 chapters in AFST(I) in the country. The chapter works in close association with the headquarters to uphold the principles, policies and objectives. The Kollam chapter is one of the active chapter. Faculty and students in Food Technology Department are members of AFST(I).
